Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

Risly is designed so your mornings stay yours. Belle Etoile Labs LLC ("we", "our", "us") builds and operates the Risly app. This policy explains what we collect, what we never see, and what you can delete at any time.

1What stays on your iPhone

Risly is built to keep the camera out of the cloud. Mission scans, push-up detection and photo missions are processed entirely on your iPhone using Apple's Vision framework. Camera frames are never uploaded, never stored on our servers and never shared. The only exception is the optional "Morning Memories" feature described below, which you have to turn on yourself.

2Information we collect

Risly works without an account. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number to use the app. The data below is tied to an anonymous, app-generated identifier.

  • App content and settings: your wake-up history and times, alarm and mission settings, streaks and usage statistics, and the optional onboarding answers you provide (such as age range, gender, how you feel in the morning, and your sleep and wake habits). This lets us show your history and statistics and restore your data after a reinstall or on a new device.
  • Usage data: anonymous product analytics about which screens and features you use, so we can understand what actually helps people get up.
  • Device information: device type, operating system version and app version, used for analytics, crash diagnosis and support.
  • Subscription status: whether you have an active subscription, so your purchase unlocks across your devices.
  • Morning Memories photos: if, and only if, you turn on this optional feature, the photo you take to complete a wake-up mission is saved to your private, anonymous cloud space so you can revisit it later in the in-app gallery.
  • Information you provide: anything you send us when you contact support, such as your email address and the content of your message.

3How we use your information

We use the information we collect only to run and improve Risly.

  • Provide, operate and maintain the alarm, missions, streaks and statistics
  • Restore your history and settings on a new device or after a reinstall
  • Improve and personalize your experience
  • Respond to your questions and provide support
  • Monitor usage patterns and analyze trends in aggregate
  • Comply with our legal obligations

4Advertising and profiling

Risly contains no ad networks and no third-party advertising SDKs. We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles or to track you across other companies' apps and websites.

5Data sharing

We share data only with the service providers we need to run the app, and only as much as they need. They process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.

  • Supabase: secure cloud database and storage for your anonymous app data and, if enabled, your Morning Memories photos
  • Amplitude: anonymous product analytics
  • RevenueCat: subscription and purchase management
  • Apple: payment processing for App Store purchases, and push notification delivery
  • Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process or a government request
  • Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction

6Data security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our storage. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7Data retention

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Morning Memories photos are kept until you delete them — one by one or all at once, from inside the app. If you delete your data or ask us to, the data linked to your anonymous identifier is removed from our systems, apart from anything we must keep to meet a legal obligation.

8Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
  • Request portability of your data
  • Withdraw consent you have given, at any time

9Controls inside the app

Some controls do not require writing to us at all: you can delete your Morning Memories photos at any time, individually or all at once, and you can clear your data from Settings. Because Risly accounts are anonymous, we cannot identify you from your name or email — to request deletion of anything still linked to your anonymous identifier, contact us from the app so we can match it.

10Children's privacy

Risly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

11Third-party links

Our app and website may link to third-party sites and services, such as the App Store or our social media pages. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service you visit.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page from time to time.

Risly
The alarm you can't snooze.

Risly is an anti-snooze mission alarm clock for iPhone (iOS 26+), built for heavy sleepers. The loud alarm rings through silent mode, Focus and Do Not Disturb, and can only be silenced by completing a wake-up mission: scanning an object, solving math problems, shaking the phone or doing push-ups.
