1Use of our services

You may use Risly only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You agree not to misuse the service or help anyone else do so. You must be at least 13 years old to use Risly.

2Risly is an alarm clock, not a safety device

Read this one. Risly is a consumer alarm app and is not a medical device, and it is not certified for safety-critical use. An alarm can fail for reasons outside our control — a discharged battery, a device that is switched off, a system update, a misconfigured setting or an operating system restriction.

• Do not rely on Risly as your only way of waking up when missing a wake-up would be dangerous or costly. Keep a backup alarm for anything critical.
• Missions can involve physical movement, including push-ups. Only attempt what is safe for you. Stop if you feel pain or dizziness, and consult a doctor before starting any physical activity if you have a health condition.
• Never complete a mission while driving, cycling or doing anything else that requires your attention.
• Risly does not diagnose, treat or give advice on sleep disorders. If you are exhausted despite sleeping, talk to a healthcare professional.

3Your account

Risly works with an anonymous, app-generated identifier rather than a traditional account, so there is no password for you to protect. Your data is tied to that identifier and to your device. If you delete the app without a backup or lose access to your device, we may not be able to recover your history for you.

4Subscriptions and payments

Risly offers optional paid subscriptions that unlock premium features. Purchases made on iOS are processed by Apple through the App Store, and Apple's terms and payment policies apply to those transactions.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings.
• Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, in line with its refund policy — we cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves.
• Prices may change. We will tell you before a change affects a renewal, and you can always cancel.

5Intellectual property

The Risly app, its name, its logo, its mascot, and all content, features, design, software and code are the property of Belle Etoile Labs LLC or its licensors, and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer or create derivative works from our services without our explicit written permission.

6Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create in Risly, including your mission photos and Morning Memories. By using features that store this content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process and display it strictly as needed to provide the service to you. We do not use your photos to train AI models, and we do not publish them anywhere. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you capture or submit.

7Prohibited uses

You agree not to use Risly to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe the rights of others
• Capture, transmit or store harmful, offensive or illegal content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the service
• Circumvent, disable or tamper with subscription, security or anti-snooze mechanisms
• Use the service for any fraudulent or deceptive purpose

8Disclaimers

Risly is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that an alarm will always ring as expected on every device and every version of iOS.

9Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Belle Etoile Labs LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or other intangible losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, Risly — including a missed wake-up. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10Termination

You can stop using Risly at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access to the service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, in particular in case of a breach of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability — remain in effect.

11Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continuing to use Risly after the changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.

12Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the competent courts, unless the mandatory law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
